BLOWN VASES

This piece I spun out and I just love the way it came out with two long arms. Also it needied grinding so it sat in a box for months. I was lucky enough to get a lap wheel, and am delighted with the results!!
Below is a collection of pieces made by dropping a hot bubble into a copper ring or collar, then expanding the hot bubble by blowing into it and trapping the copper piece. Not a new technique, but a blast just the same.
Thank you to photographer Delaina Halford for the beautiful photos.
Check back soon, as I intend to add more photos over the next few weeks.

The piece on the left was blown into a copper collar, the center one was swung out while on the punty to gain length, and one on the right is a drinking glass.

The following photos are of various pieces I have made. Check back soon as I intend to add more photos as time permits.
