PENDANTS

This group of pendants was created by fusing, then combing a large slab of glass. After cutting up the slab the glass is fired again with the addition of hand forged copper. The wire and beads are added last.

Above are three examples of pendants that have been made in the furnace with a flat profile. Below are two examples of marble pendants named for their round profile. The pendant on the left was made with glow in the dark glass, while the one on the right shows the hook detail.
Below are six examples of wrapped pendants. Each one is a mini work of art and of course, no two are ever alike. Some are the remains of blown work gone bad, while others are made from sheet glass. Made to order, these can be made from sterling, plate or gold filled wire.

The following three pendants are dichroic glass. Gold filled wire was used for the perimeter wrap. Larger than life to show detail.
The next collection is my favorite. Forged copper is fused within the glass to make stunning pendants. The piece on left took four firings and has gold as an inclusion. The center piece uses super sparkly aventurine - soooo pretty! While the piece on the right gives common sheet glass a new spin.

OK! Just two more.... These were made for summer fun! The pendant on left was constructed from a beautiful piece of art glass made with the combing technique. The piece on right is made with a straight forward full then tack fuse. Both are wrapped in sterling silver.
