This jewelry was just as much fun
for me to make as it will be for you to wear. The art glass pendants and
broaches are very unique. I haven’t seen anything like them at any of the shows.
Need was the mother of invention for the hair stix and bun holders. Some of the
necklaces showcase my love for macramé. Every piece is a small work of art that
will gain compliments every time it is worn.
NECKLACES
Many techniques are used for necklaces.
Wide ranges of styles are created using lampworked beads, metal components and
macramé. Choose your preference, as these necklaces are bound together using
leather, hemp or waxed cord.
BROACHES
Art glass and metal components are used to create stunning
wearable art. Some will also serve dual duty as a pendant. Be on fashions
cutting edge as art glass brings broaches back into grand style.
BUN HOLDERS
Hold your hair bun with style! These are
made with braided leather combined with various styles of kiln formed glass
cabochons. Designed to hold long hair securely yet fashionably.
HAIR STIX
The wooden stix are topped with lampworked beads and accented with
glass seed beads. When both stix are inserted in your bun to form an “X,” your
hair will be held securely. Occasionally, I will wear just one, inserted
horizontally, to obtain a softer look. Sometimes,
I just use a pencil. Not near as nice.
PENDANTS
All pendants are handmade. Some consist of blown art
glass wrapped with silver plated wire. Others are made of sheet glass. They are
all fused or fire polished to create a beautiful finish.
