Opening my own studio was not only a lesson in perseverance, but also a dream come true. Owning a fully functional glass studio with the capacity to create stained glass windows, develop fusing techniques, and blow glass has provided a relaxed atmosphere to create art, share my passion for glass with students, and work with clients to make their ideas a reality. Collaborative projects include working with Sterling Associates as Stained Glass Consultant. Large scale windows were constructed for installation for the Jesuit Chapel on Newbury Street in Boston, and were selected for display in the New England Architects Exhibition at the 23rd Annual Build Boston Convention in 2007. Working with the Design Studio, several custom light fixtures have been designed to suit individual client needs. Working in partnership with Andover High School and Andover Youth Services, I have created an internship program that has resulted in students gaining experience in cold, warm and hot glass. Many of these students have gone on to attend degree programs as glass majors.
